"The Early Warning System That Stops Intruders Before They Get In" |
Quick Summary
The “Invisible Gate” is a wireless signaling device for driveways and access roads. It is ideally suited for larger homes
and/or those with longer driveways. This highly reliable adjunct to a traditional home alarm provides security, safety and convenience.
Protech’s “Invisible Gate” operates as a totally integrated “stand alone” system. It is not fabricated from piecemeal or jury-rigged
components often supplied by burglar alarm companies.
The wireless design of our drive alarm monitor eliminates the need to dig trenches for buried cables. The Invisible Gate vehicle detection system works on any
length of driveway.
The battery powered sensor and transmitter require no AC power at the entrance of the driveway.
The sensors and most of the miniature transmitter are buried underground which allows it to be easily hidden from view. The sensors are buried at the edge of the
driveway pavement. Stainless steel armored cables connect them to the transmitter housing which is also placed in the ground behind bushes or trees.
Protech is the only system that utilizes “Dual Sensor Technology” and is able to report the direction of vehicles moving past it. It can detect vehicles
as far away as 20 feet. The sensor is activated only by large steel objects moving through its invisible beam. It is not activated by animals nor will it false alarm during electrical storms.
Multiple sensors/transmitters can be utilized to monitor as many entrances as needed.
The sensor is very efficient in energy use. Our systems use standard alkaline batteries that can last up to three years and are easily changed. These batteries
contain no sulfides or cyanides and are classified as “non-hazardous” household waste. A separate low battery lamp is activated inside the home or garage alerting you when the batteries need changing.
The transmitter has a range of up to 5 miles. Each transmitter uses a unique digitally coded signal. It will not interfere with other devices nor will other devices
interfere with the Invisible Gate.
A receiver/command center in the home simply plugs into an outlet and listens for your particular system’s unique transmitter code. The unit does not have
any user controls and is usually placed in an “out of the way” place like a garage, basement or attic.
The command center sends signals throughout the property to activate both the chime modules and lights. This eliminates the need for any new electrical wiring
inside your home. Command signals also travel to outbuildings, caretaker’s quarters and barns eliminating the need for any new or special wiring between buildings.
Chime modules are simple plug in devices that can be moved and plugged-in anywhere. Outdoor units are available for poolside monitoring. The chimes make a pleasant
“ding dong” sound the moment a vehicle enters. Our drive alert systems differentiate between vehicles entering and exiting the property. A “beep beep” sound can be selected to signal when visitors leave.
Light circuits are tied-into the system by simply replacing existing light switches with new remote control devices called “Smart Switches”. The new
light switches respond to wireless commands and can be manually turned on/off as usual. Some “Smart Switches can also dim creating different landscape moods.
A photocell in the transmitter tells the system to turn on lights only at night. The receiver is programmed to activate each light in an animated sequence creating
the appearance that the home is occupied and the lights are being manually turned on. After a predetermined time, the Invisible Gate automatically switches the lights off. This happens in an animated sequence as well, creating the appearance
that the lights are being manually turned off by someone inside the home.
The spontaneous lighting effect is a proven deterrent to trespassers. As you come home, you will feel safer with the exterior well illuminated. Also, interior
lights are activated to light your path. A master “Smart Switch” is often installed near the exit door. This one switch can turn on many circuits to light the path for you and your guests when leaving. The lights automatically
switch off after you or your guests have left. This saves energy compared to leaving lights on for hours at night. This feature also extends the life of bulbs and is especially helpful for “hard to reach” fixtures.
When used in conjunction with a video surveillance camera, the Invisible Gate drive alarm system can trigger a recording device creating a video log of everyone
who enters or exits your property.
The modular design of our systems and components benefits the customer in three ways: it allows for a free trial on your property because it can be set-up easily;
it allows for easy, cost effective service; and it makes the system easily transportable if you should move.
Protech manufactures its equipment in the USA. We build what used to be referred to as "durable goods". There is no planned obsolescence built into our
designs. By doing so, the life of our product is extended—a more environmentally desirable option than recycling.
Each custom installation is designed to be simple to operate. No instruction manual is required.
Our Invisible Gate can be purchased by your company as part of an executive protection program. As such, the system can be written off as capital business expenditures.
